Does the internet help to condone some phobia's

Agoraphobia is an "Anxiety disorder" ,traditionally thought to involve a fear of public places and open spaces. However, it is now believed that agoraphobia develops as a complication of panic attacks, but there is evidence that the implied one-way causal relationship between spontaneous panic attacks and agoraphobia in a setting from which there is no easy means of escape. Alternately "Social anxiety" problems may also be an underlying cause. As a result, sufferers of agoraphobia avoid public and/or unfamiliar places, especially large, open, spaces such as class, Shopping malls or Airports where there are few 'places to hide'. In severe cases, the sufferer may become confined to his or her home, experiencing difficulty traveling from this "safe place."

I picked this subject simply because I shop more on the Internet than I do in public, I hate store and crowds; People who suffer from agoraphobia take my simply actions and turn them into extreme. Agoraphobia suffers probable love the face that the Internet can give them basically everything and they don't have to actually out into the world to retrieve anything.

Everyone knows that you could work from your home even before Internet, but you can now make a great living working from home via. Internet: Telemarketer, web page design, and even a writer.

I know what your thinking everyone has to eat at some time, well you can even order food from restaurants online and they will deliver, one example is Pizza Hut.

Lets say it's a Friday night and nobody has dropped by to see you all week and your feeling a bit lonely; You don't have to leave the house or wash, you can log onto a dating site, or a socializing network site or even Skye a friend or family member.

I not trying to be funny about this at all, I really find this disorder fascinating and sad all the same. I love using the Internet like the next person, but I enjoy working outside of my house and occasionally dinning outside my home while socializing with friends; The Internet can not be a substitute for the outside world and if it is then please seek out help.
